Job Description: Full Time Diamond & Jewelry Consultant

We are searching for a Diamond & Jewelry Consultant to join the fun, friendly and hard-working team. In this sales professional role, you will be responsible for creating an exceptional brand experience for existing and potential clients, providing industry expertise, exceptional client service and maintaining attention to detail. In addition, you will be responsible to perform a variety of cross functional tasks as assigned to meet company goals and objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Client-focused mindset, meeting with clients both virtually (via Zoom) and in-person, guiding them through diamond and jewelry selection
  • Manage inquiries in a timely manner across all platforms including telephone, website, social media, and email
  • Follow up with potential and existing clients within established timeframes to facilitate sales cycle completion
  • Work cross-functionally with the production team to fulfill orders and manage delivery experience of custom jobs
  • Evaluation and verification of diamonds and gemstones
  • Quality assurance of jewelry items
  • Perform cash register functions and opening and closing duties
  • Consistently treat all clients and team members with respect and contribute to a positive work environment
  • Perform other duties as delegated by the General Manager
Experience and Qualifications:
  • Top performers with 2+ years jewelry sales experience preferably in a luxury retail environment, or equivalent work experience
  • Gemmology degree (FCGmA or GIA GG is preferred)
  • Post-Secondary education (College or University degree or diploma is preferred)
  • Highly proficient in use of office software (Google Docs and Sheets, Microsoft Word and Excel), general computer skills, and internet navigation and research
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Superior attention to detail
  • Energetic self-starter with a high degree of self-confidence and motivation
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires a high degree of multi- tasking and organization with minimal supervision
  • Enthusiastic, friendly and outgoing personality
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships through effective listening, asking questions and relating to the customer
  • Commitment to excellence and a desire to grow

  • Compensation: competitive base salary plus lucrative commission, industry- leading all-in compensation for top performers
  • Regular working hours 10am to 6pm Monday through Friday (flexibility required as needed to accommodate workload)
