Our client is in the adtech space, and as their Canadian business continues to grow and achieve success in the creative industry they are looking to expand the team with a dedicated HTML Developer. The Developer will be a major factor in ensuring creative builds are best-in-class for our clients, supporting the Sales and Strategy team to secure new creative business and contribute to the development of their custom creative solutions. This is a newly created position due to growth that will allow progression into a growing team.

What You'll Be Doing
Your main responsibilities will include:
  • Develop high impact and interactive advertisement builds, including asset exporting, animation conceptualization and reformatting
  • Develop DCO decisioning and act as an internal expert on Dynamic Creative Optimisation
  • Animate HTML5 advertisements based on design files & storyboards provided by client or internal design team
  • Optimize advertisements to be within specs in reference to KB size and animation loops
  • Communicate best practices/documentation for the technical and nontechnical stakeholders that underpin high impact and data driven creative executions, and identify and help mitigate pain points in workflows.

Your Qualifications
  • 2 years professional working experience, preferable in advertising/media
  • Front End Fundamentals (semantic HTML5, modern CSS3 etc.)
  • Experience with basic functions of Microsoft Excel or similar (creating dynamic product feeds/store lists/look up tables to be used in creative materials)
  • Comfortable working with and extracting production ready assets from design files (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Experience with web animation frameworks/authoring tools (GSAP, Three.js, Easel.js, Google Web Designer, Adobe Edge, Adobe Animate)
  • Proficiency in Photoshop and working knowledge in InDesign, Illustrator, After Effects and Adobe Media Encoder
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workloads
  • High attention to detail with a commitment to quality and accountability
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to problem-solve, work independently, and identify potential risks
  • Eager to learn new systems, technologies, and advertising techniques

Ad Tech Exposure
While it is not necessary to have direct hands on experience with all of these specific platforms, the ideal candidate will have some form of experience with a programmatic ad serving stack and will understand how different platforms work.
