Business Development Representative

We are looking for a Business Development Representative for a tech startup in the SaaS space. They are currently expanding their sales team and looking for a passionate BDR to help identify business opportunities.This is a unique opportunity to be part of a small, but quickly growing organization. Offering: $45k + commission, OTE of $60k

Location: Downtown Toronto

Position Type: Full Time

Responsibilities:
  • Reach out to prospects through emails and phone calls to learn about their needs and get them excited about the Platform
  • Prospect new potential customers by conducting targeted outbound campaigns
  • Qualify sales leads by conducting high level conversations with executives
  • Convert qualified leads into opportunities for Account Executives to demo 
  • Analyze sales and marketing metrics to optimize internal sales processes
  • Work closely with the Sales & Marketing team to establish ways to improve our sales strategy

Qualifications:
  • Completion of a post secondary degree
  • Previous experience in customer service/sales environment will be an asset 
  • A strong interest in getting into software sales
  • Excellent business writing skills 
  • Professional and friendly phone etiquette
  • Self-aware individual who is eager to contribute feedback and ideas
  • Very process driven and methodical 
  • Thrive in fast-paced startup environment Naturally curious; you love learning and improving yourself
  • Salesforce (CRM) experience a plus!
