Product Owner/Software Project Manager

Location: Toronto, ON, Canada
We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented and client facing Product Owner/Software Project Manager.
You will be working with strategic clients focusing on helping them extract the most value out of the platform. Our ideal candidate has a successful track record turning complex technical issues into innovative solutions. You will act as a strategic advisor to your clients and develop a deep understanding of their business as well as our product. You are creative and can conceptualize what needs to be built and convey that to the team prior to starting a project. You have a track record of successfully managing projects within scope and budget. 
 
The Product Owner/Software Project Manager is the main point of contact for our large clients and will play a key role in creating value, managing expectations and client communications. This is an important, cross-functional role that will work with our customer success, technical implementation, product development and business development teams.

Location: Downtown Toronto 

Position: Full time, permanent
 
Qualifications
  • BA/BS Degree (or equivalent)
  • Experience with overseeing the development of the product from inception all the way through to deployment, like a Product Owner
  •  Relevant work experience in one or more of the following: technology consulting, custom software development, product management, technical project management  or technical account management
  • Large-scale implementation experience with Web application software, cloud technologies and/or databases
  • Ability to communicate and present to all levels of the organization including C-level
  • Skilled at prioritizing, multi-tasking and working effectively under pressure
  • Experience writing proposals, developing project plans and creating presentations
  • Previous startup experience
  • MBA or PMP is an asset
 
Responsibilities
  • Build strong relationships with major clients, acting as a product, technical and business advisor
  • Act as a Product Owner to elicit business and technical requirements and develop innovative solutions for clients 
  • Manage long-term client engagements and projects
  • Manage internal and external resources to deliver projects
  • Have a deep understanding of the product roadmap and find opportunities to leverage new technologies to solve customer needs
  • Be a champion for clients
  • Use the knowledge you gain to contribute to Customer Success and Product Management
  • Be responsible for revenue targets and identifying business expansion opportunities
  • Monitor trends in adoption and utilization, finding ways to increase value and customer satisfaction
