Business Development Representative, SaaS

Location: Toronto, ON, Canada
We are leading the search for a Business Development Executive (BDE) to join a fast growing Media company where you will be assisting the sales team by prospecting for new business. You will be working collaboratively in a team-based sales environment, as well as with cross functional teams, to directly contribute to the business’ overall growth.

Location: Downtown, Toronto, ON
 
Position Type: Full-time, Permanent

Offering: $50k - $65k + commission, OTE of $75k - $90k 
 
Responsibilities:
  • Create business development strategies in communication with other Account Executives to develop and build up the sales pipeline
  • Prospect and qualify new business leads through phone, email and various outreach channels
  • Research companies and identify their decision makers
  • Build and nurture B2B relationships by way of proper communication cadence and follow up
  • Maintain and document sales activities in the CRM (Salesforce)
  • Assist the team with contract administration and other ad hoc tasks
 
Qualifications:
  • 1+ years of B2B prospecting/lead generation experience
  • Proven track record of hitting or exceeding sales targets
  • Experience with software sale is an asset
  • Bilingual in French and/or Spanish is an asset
  • The drive to learn and succeed in a fast-paced environment
  • Background working in the digital media publishing space an asset 
  • Experience in the full cycle sales process is an asset 
  • Experience selling to the media or publishers is an asset
  • Good understanding of the media space is an asset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
