Senior QA Automation Engineer

We are the leading the search for a Senior QA Automation Engineer to join a group of intelligent, diverse, grounded, and kind professionals. We are currently seeking an individual who is passionate about product quality and pushing software automation and testing to its LIMITS. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring that the website and API provide an exceptional experience for our hundreds of thousands of users.

What you will be doing:   
  • Responsible for creating, updating and iterating in-house automation frameworks that will test every commit, pull request and merge our code.
  • Continuously deliver principles and ensure tools provide the desired and repeatable results
  • Establish quality assurance best practices and identify key areas to automate by collaborating with the development team
  • Work with the relevant business stakeholders to understand product goals and ensure proper quality coverage across website, API, and data products
  • Own all aspects of QC and testing initiatives and projects
  • Responsible for creating test scenarios and test plans for projects of any size

What we would like you to be:
  • You will have automated tests and expanded API and frontend automation frameworks (e.g. RSpec, Qunit, etc.)
  • Hold a strong understanding of business objectives and be able to communicate effectively and write detailed test scenarios and bug reports
  • Expanded and built upon continuous integration tools (e.g. Jenkins, TravisCI, etc.)
  • Lead and coordinated bug-bashes as mandated by project stakeholder
  • Bring an outside the box thinking to improve the testing/QA process
  • Work collaboratively with developers to continuously minimize time to deployment and increase efficiency
  • Be a passionate advocate for product quality and automation
  • Detail-oriented and proficient in troubleshooting/debugging problems
  • Experienced with at least one scripting language (Ruby (ideal), Python, PHP, etc.)
  • Good working knowledge of Git, Jira, and Agile development methodologies
  • Bachelor of Computer Science, or Computer Engineering or equivalent
